Saffron Skirt & Storm Sandy

Hi! I hope everyone who is being affected by hurricane Sandy is staying safe! As for me, it is an excuse to stay in and get some stuff done.
Sad to say, that because of the storm I wasn't able to go help out Misha and Puff for the last time today, but on the plus side, as many of you may already know, I am getting married in two weeks!!! I am so ready and so excited! :D

During this past week, with much a challenge I did get the skirt done for Misha and Puff!

I would have taken more pictures if I wasn't in such a rush to mail it out this morning. This piece was challenging in the sense that I had a week to get it done, while I was super busy, and I had to frog a couple of times, but you know what, I wouldn't have changed it. I learned a lot and grew patience with my knitting I never thought I had.

In the next coming couple of months I am going to be working on coming up with my own baby/toddler knit designs, so stay tuned! :)

Ruffles of Cuteness

On my needles at this moment, a ruffle skirt/bloomers. Talk about cute overload! I am knitting this skirt in color 'Saffron'. The skirt in the photo's is a sample skirt of Misha & Puff, knit by another knitter.

Two Hats in One

I have finally finished my fiance's hat! With working on Misha*Puff's stuff I haven't had a lot of time to work on his hat, but I found a way to get it done. :)

With it being as cold as it is in Canada, he wanted it to have two layers. I did a provisional cast on(the light blue yarn) and knit the outer layer.

After completing the outer layer I picked up my live stitches on the provisional cast on and knitted the hat in the opposite direction in stockinette stitch instead of the ribbing. I also knitted the inside layer a about a 1/2"-1" more than the outer layer before starting my decreases. This gave the inside layer room to not be stretched out when attached to the outer layer.
To connect the two layers I simply weaved in the two layers together at the very top of the hat. It is invisible. I really enjoyed experimenting with making this hat not only super warm, but also making it reversible!

M*P Sledding Scarf

Misha & Puff's Sledding Scarf finished. I think these scarfs are perfect for little ones. They sit around the neck just right with out any long ends hanging that you get from long scarves, and I love how it looks like a bow in the front. Super cute, indeed!

Needle Clicking Away

Hey guys! My wedding day/moving day is approaching! I have been super busy getting everything ready. I am so excited. In addition to all the planning I have been busy pumping out hand knits for Misha & Puff.

I just knit the garments and Anna, owner/founder of Misha & Puff does all the  finishing work.  Above are a pair of booties completely finished(not by me).

These Booties in Madelinetosh Ink(dark blue) 100% Merino Wool are a pair of the booties I knit for Misha & Puff

I do have some of my own knits to share soon. :)
