The Little Joys
Little Joys of this Week>>>
*The belly laughs that come from reading an email from my sister.
*Checking things off my 'To-do' list.
*Praying the Rosary.
*Getting my exercise on.
*Getting excited for next week! The hubby and I are heading out to Manitoba for a couple weeks. It's going to be an awesome time with the Schoonbaert Fam, and getting to witness my brother-in-law get married!
*Sorry guys...nothing much else to report-even though this week has been pretty un-eventful, I'm very grateful for it. :)
Happy Friday! xo

In the works: Berry Bonnet
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Summer has for sure made itself known, here in Ontario. Hot, very hot, so hot that I've been having trouble knitting, even with cotton! I have air conditioning in the bedroom...so as you can imagine, that's where I've been doing a lot of my knitting this week.
I was working on a design for some summer shoes, but still need a bit more time to develop the ideas and such, so in the meantime I started on the next, a lovely spring/summer baby bonnet. In the picture above, I'm using a cotton/modal fiber mix. It's light and breathable, with a silky touch to it-it's my first time knitting with this kind of fiber mixture...I like it.

The Little Joys
Little Joys of this Week>>>
*If I still lived near the ocean :(... I'd add, toes in the sand for one of the joys of the week. This little joy is one of my all time favourites.
*A cold shower on a sweat-dripping hot day.
*Getting my hair chopped off...about 8" of it! So refreshing! No...I don't miss my long hair...yet.
*Praying the Rosary with my husband.
*Prepared lime-chicken tacos, that tasted so good.
*The humidity has gone down this past week, resulting in perfect summer weather.
*Master Chef! (need I say more?)
*The laughter shared between my Jellybean and I. Oh, 'Jellybean' is the endearing nickname that my husband and I share.
What are some joys of your week?! Happy Friday! xo

The Little Joys
In every week, there are little joys spread throughout. You know, those little things that brighten up your day? Make your week that much better?
I'm going to start celebrating those joys more often, here, with all of you. In me acknowledging my joys more often, I think it will make me more of a thankful person. It truly is the little things in life that can make such an impact on us...am I right?
Little joys of this week>>>
*The little conversations I have with the care taker of our apartment building-really sweet lady.
*Picking the fresh hot peppers from our window garden and getting to enjoy it in our entree(they were very hot indeed).
*Coffee, coffee, coffee. Never fails to makes my mornings great-two cups, that is.
*Getting onto the bus, and it not being full...YAY!
*I now have a new nephew, who was born on Canada day weekend! (Ok. Maybe that's a big joy.)
*Taking strolls through nice neighborhoods with my favorite human(my husband), admiring the houses and landscaping, all while dreaming about having a home of our own one day.
*Getting to talk to my sister on the phone...I miss her soooo much.
*Exchanging emails with loved ones...thank God for email!
*Finding out that I am 2 months away from hearing about my sponsorship, the beginning process of my immigration to Canada....so close.
*Ok, I know there's more that I can't think of right now. I'll get better at this.
