Blooming Bird of Paradise

So, when we got back from our Manitoba trip, we noticed that our bird of paradise plant was beginning to bloom...for the first time in 5 years! Pretty exciting...I can't wait to see what the flower looks like when it's in full bloom. :)

We have a few jade plants around the house. They are one of my favorite succulents, and make such great house plants.  One of them has grown into a decent size over the past year. My plan is to nurture this guy to grow into a tree, like this one! Super excited about it. This means I have some reading to catch up on!

Oh, Mr. Sun, where did you go?

Secret Garden

Meet Zebra Cactus. He is my favorite.

This little guy (above) doesn't like me, hehe...he pricks me every time I try to move him.
